Thanks for the great Photos . On the photo with the silver MGF you can see the new Back-Soundspoiler from Dieter  .I see that the exhaust on my car (green MGF) at this time was already broken. |

I'm glad you like them, We were going back to France after 3 weeks holiday with mother in wiltshire. We are big MG Rover fans, we were in the 75 when the photos were taken. Back home in France we have 2 x TFs, 1 x ZR, 1 x Rover 25. (and the 75) Did any of you have any problems with the cars during the visit ? What was the reason for coming over in 4 different Fs ? to show off ?  Seeing you all put a big smile on our faces. Pete. |

Glad seeing us on the motorway turned you all into a bunch of Cheshire cats, Pete. We were attending the MGF’s 20th birthday, a big event at the Heritage Centre in Gaydon, Warks. More info can be found either here or here (with pics) … or on Facebook  .Problems? Not very much, Michael N. had a weld on his back box go, causing the right pipe to settle down on the rear bumper (without any extra damage there luckily), and I seem to have another source of coolant loss from the expansion tank, where the hose is fitted. Well, she isn’t called Mrs Peebody without reason We had a great (and sunny!) week in England from Tuesday until Sunday, roaming the country lanes of Kent, Sussex, Hants, Berks and Oxon for a couple of days. Whereabouts in France are you? |

I saw on the internet about the 20 years of MG F but didn't think to look up if there was anything going on otherwise we probably would have poped along. I was hoping to bump into you all at the tunnel but I must admit i bombed it down to folkstone, made it in record time, was worried about all the delays and the M20 etc. I actually live near Nancy, department 54, Pete. |

Hello Pete, big surprise having been 'flashed' on the M25 in this way. Many thanks for the pictures., Didn't realise anything of the photograph when driving. Cheers PS. the next time I have a T-Bar with speakers on the rack I'll have them connected to my ICE and entertain people behind me with some music sound

Which would violate strategic arms limitation treaties of course. Pete, Nancy is not too far from Luxembourg, where most of us meet in July each year for one of the best weekends with our Fs and TFs. |

Oh, I didn't know that either. I will have to keep an eye on this forum then, bit difficult though as I don't speak a single word of german, sorry guys. In Austria you can order a "wish-registration-number", costs a bit of money...

You visit the internetsite of the town or county (at least in my case  ) and navigate to a site, where the possible registration numbers are listed. There You can choose a suitable one and reserve it under Your name. And yes, You pay for this service.

Exactly, and it's only 12.60 Euros in excess! You have to stick with the prefix though, as that's the acronym of the district you live in. Only the letters after the stickers and the numbers can be chosen (almost) freely, if available. Ant then there are nutjobs like me, wo "move" to Mönchengladbach (with the convenient prefix "MG") for two days, register the car there and then "move back" again. In that case (if you keep the car), the plates can be taken across district borders now. This way my other car got its registration "MG-TF8". Sadly the French don't do cherished plates, afaik. As to the language question: Simply go on posting in English here, no probs at all. Maybe in the International section, if you like. Also, I'd advise you to pay the MGCC UK's MGF register forum a visit, (http://www.mgfregister.org/forum/), some of us are active over there as well. They even have some expats living in France posting. There also is a French forum (http://www2.mgcontact.eu/phpBB2/), but this is for all types of MGs (modernes et anciennes), so the F and TF community is a minority. |
